The concept store has recently opened its doors to the public as an events venue, catering to both the corporate and private sector.

Since the opening, the venue has been booked up with weekly pamper parties hosted by Dermalogica for the public, as well as for privately run group seminars and brand launches. The space at DOW is cleverly divided into a variety of smaller inter-leading areas, ideal for social gatherings, with the main conference area toward the back of the store. The seminar room can hold up to 40 people and the boardroom space up to 12 comfortably. There is a an expansive area in between the seminar room and the boardroom furnished with white cocktail tables and bar stools – perfect for entertaining guests. Projectors, screens, sound systems and LCDs are also prepped around the venue for presentations and talks, and the kitchen, two bar areas and equipment lend themselves to catering purposes for events.

Joanna Hedley from BeachCult recently hosted a launch event at DOW and had the following to say about their experience: “It’s a great space for brand launches. BeachCult benefited hugely from the launch event we hosted at DOW. It’s a really great space to play with; we completely transformed the front area, tying the dermalogica skin bar in with the clothing launch, which the girls seemed to love.”

DOW is a multi-functional venue that can adapt to whatever need the event requires. “Being the one and only Dermalogica concept space in the southern hemisphere, we have ensured that everything guests may require is set up and ready for their events. It is such a great venue for a variety of functions from hens’ parties, birthdays, kitchen teas, and bachelorette functions to product launches, corporate seminars and conferences,” says dermalogica national marketing manager, Heloise Janse Van Rensburg.
