Scheduled to air from November 2015 on SABC2, Showville is South Africa’s first small town variety talent show.

“We’re thrilled to have Soapbox managing the public face of this talent-based TV Series ,” says Okuhle Media CEO, Paula Brown. “MD, Inky Dresner, works closely with a high level specialised team and between them they bring a wealth of PR and media-related experience to the party. I have no doubt that Showville is in extremely capable hands.”

Established in 2003, Soapbox specialises in providing strategic input, expert insight and effective solutions on national projects and communication programmes. The agency’s media network coupled with its’ impressive track record in managing national call-to-action campaigns with a strong community footprint makes the team an ideal partner to this high-pedigreed international Format.

Okuhle Media executive producer, Louise McClelland comments on their intentions for the show, “The series relies on attracting talent of all ages from towns across the country. We're looking for unusual quirky acts - jugglers, magicians, uni-cycling clowns, comedians – and aren’t excluding singers and dancers. Everyone with a talent is welcome to audition. Our plan is to share the often inspiring, real life stories behind the bright lights and curtain calls with South Africans, reminding them that the extraordinary can often be overlooked if we don’t care to look for it.”
