With R10 000 and a rocking office party up for grabs, thousands of mums, dads, school kids, students and office workers exposed their toes and tweeted their feet.

Lone feet, groups of feet, big feet, small feet, and in-between feet – the photos set Twitter on fire with #FlipFlopFriday trending nationally from early in the morning.

It was no mean feat as toes of all shapes and sizes got some air. There were even people Flip Flop Friday-ing in Johannesburg, Cape Town and as far away as the UK and New Zealand.

Now in its fifth year, East Coast Radio’s Flip Flop Friday unites people across KwaZulu-Natal in a celebration of the unique, relaxed lifestyle we are privileged to enjoy in our province. Where else in South Africa can you go to a meeting in flip flops?

Listeners will need to toe the line ‘til Monday to find out who won the cash or a rockin’ office party with food, drinks, and a DJ. Darren Maule will make the announcement East Coast Breakfast on 5 October 2015 at 07:40.
