Pizza lovers visited our stores nationally to sample their delectable signature creations and a remarkable R260 000 was raised for the Children’s Hospital Trust.

The 2015 line up of celebrity pizzas were created by Butch James and Kamini Pather, JP Duminy and Wynand van Rooyen and Jabu Mahlangu and Ivor Jones. A total of 11 047 pizzas were sold throughout the campaign, with Jabu Mahlangu and Ivor Jones’ ‘The Aegean’ pizza proving to be the most popular. Funds raised will be utilised to upgrade and expand the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at the Red Cross Children’s Hospital.

“We are delighted that Col’Cacchio pizzeria once again selected the Children’s Hospital Trust as the beneficiary for this worthy campaign. They have a big heart for the Hospital, and their generous support has helped raise funds for numerous Trust priority projects over the years, with this donation going towards building a much needed bigger and better ICU at the Hospital,” says Louise Driver, CEO of the Children’s Hospital Trust.

Col’Cacchio pizzeria director, Kinga Baranowska, commented, “The Celebrity Chef Series is about contributing to a worthy cause and this would not be possible without the support of the public, our celebrity chefs, sportsmen and sponsors involved. We thank you for the role you’ve played in helping us raise this donation.”
