The #ShareTheLove campaign aims to inspire people to share their love for others in the simplest and most effective way – a hug. “You don’t need to spend a cent to show someone you love them,” says Jason Levin, managing director at HDI, “There is no price tag on love.” he adds.

From making someone their favourite dish, picking someone up from school, to giving them a warm hug, South Africans are encouraged to express their love for each other in different ways. “The aim of this campaign is to show the world that we are a positive nation, and instil national pride and respect within our communities again,” says Levin.

According to author Shannon Peck, love is what we live for and is the most important thing in our lives, whether you are a king or just an ordinary person in the street, poor or rich, love should live within us.

“Love is pure, sweet and heart-warming, it doesn’t need to be expensive, hence we are calling upon the whole country to share a little bit of their love with each other, and feel free to post it on social media,” Levin concludes.
