The campaign kicks off with a television advert, the first to be produced by
Hippo.co.za itself, without using an advertising agency.
“As a growing brand, we are always pushing boundaries and venturing into untouched avenues which is why we have decided to move away from using advertising agencies in June 2016 and are now running all marketing services in-house,” says Derek Wilson, head of
Hippo.co.za.
“The decision was made in order to ensure that our processes and messaging are more closely aligned as the lines between marketing, content, PR, social media, search engine optimisation, and native advertising continue to blur,” says Wilson.
“The new campaign was created with every South African insurance client in mind, from people looking to compare car insurance quotes for the first time to new parents looking for a way to save after an increase in their insurance premiums to those looking to change insurers following bad service,” says Daniel Jardim, marketing manager at
Hippo.co.za.
