The UFO resembles a paper Rubik’s Cube that continuously folds to reveal new messages, and a perforated bottle hang has been added to the application which is torn off to ‘unlock the power of personalisation’.

“The UFO’s resemblance to that of a Rubik Cube blends in well with our ‘crack the code’ campaign, enticing clients to unlock the power of personalisation to enter the SMS competition,” says Oticon’s marketing executive Jasmine Germanus.

The UFOs are distributed to Oticon’s client base, consisting of hearing care professionals. Oticon’s clients can SMS their purchased Alta serial number(s), automatically entering them into a random draw.

Entrants stand the chance of winning a brand new set of Alta hearing instruments. Alta is at the forefront of new hearing technology and offers the best in a personalised hearing aid.
“As a result of the competition and the UFO we have received numerous SMS entries and we have had an increased number of Alta sales,” Germanus confirms.

Oticon has spearheaded a number of technological breakthroughs which have made a significant difference in the lives of people with hearing loss, including the first ear-level digital hearing aid, the first hearing system with Artificial Intelligence, the first ‘fashionable’ hearing device and the first hearing device to connect wirelessly to modern, Bluetooth enabled equipment.

Oticon is also the only hearing aid manufacturer with its own independent psycho- acoustic research centre, ensuring that the needs of hearing aid users are always put first when developing new solutions.

“Today’s hearing instruments are more intuitive, interactive, powerful, smaller, lighter, discreet, fashionable and personal than ever before. The new Alta hearing aid is the pinnacle of Oticon’s success,” Germanus concludes.
