Boksburg Advertiser (Monitored)
(Community: Community Affairs)

The Boksburg Advertiser is highly regarded by the community it serves. The effort both staff and management put into the editorial and advertising content provide the community with the most effective way to gain necessary exposure for their products or businesses.

The newspaper's content is a combination of English and Afrikaans articles addressing relevant issues. Although the Boksburg Advertiser emphasises its business community, it also focuses on community projects. The community paper plays a large role in raising funds and awareness for those in need, especially Boksburg's aged.

The Boksburg Advertiser was started by the Hills family in the early 1920s. Today it is part of the Caxton East Rand Newspapers group, which recently moved its head office to Boksburg. Since 2003 the newspaper has been edited by Lana O'Neill and currently has a print run of 41 500 copies.

It is freely distributed every Tuesday to areas including Atlasville, Bardene, Beyers Park, Boksburg, Cinderella, Farrar Park, Sunward Park and Witfield. It is also available at CNA. The Boksburg Advertiser is represented by the Newspaper Advertising Bureau (NAB).
