EMS names CNN as top news provider
CNN has achieved a record score in the latest EMS 2012 research, adding more weekly and monthly viewers across Europe than any other news broadcaster and achieving the best ever score for any news network in monthly reach, with 36.9% (18-million viewers). Ray Hartley, editor of the Sunday Times, has issued the following statement: "A document submitted as part of the ... application to have controversial police official Richard Mdluli removed from office has included the unsubstantiated allegation that a story was published in the Sunday Times of 23 October 2011 by 'journalists paid by CI', with the apparent purpose of diverting attention away from police officers who were under suspicion" ... The Times keeps the good times rolling
The Times, one of South Africa’s youngest daily newspapers, has seen double digit growth in the first quarter of this year. The latest audited results released by the Audit Bureau for Circulation (ABC) for the period January to March 2012 reveal that single copy sales of The Times have grown by 30.2%, from 35 974 to 46 832 (10 858 copies) compared to the same period last year. Move! magazine is top of the charts for black South African women
Move! magazine, the weekly title published by Media24, now boasts the largest circulation among magazines targeted at the country’s black female audience. It has a shown a steady growth in circulation of 5% in the last quarter, achieving an audited copy sales figure of 144 077 per issue, putting it in third place among the country’s weekly publications. Real magazine sees 25% growth in circulation
Real magazine, the women’s glossy magazine published by Media24, has seen 25% growth in circulation from the fourth quarter of 2011 to the first quarter of 2012. The magazine’s circulation for the quarter sits at 63 907 copies sold, as confirmed by the Audit Bureau of Circulations in its quarterly circulation announcement released today. Click to continue

New Media has announced that it will be merging its two brands, Eat Out and Eat In, in June. This inclusive, all-encompassing brand will be called Eat Out and will incorporate specific elements of Eat In. Click to continue
