Therefore it comes as no surprise that he has been chosen to join the cast of Australian satirical show The Weekly, hosted by Charlie Pickering, as a correspondent. He joins co-stars Tom Gleeson and Kitty Flanagan. 

Pickering’s CV includes performing at comedy shows all over the world, including numerous TV hosting roles. 

Gola’s first appearance on ABC's The Weekly will take place on Wednesday, 27 May 2015. He is elated to be joining the popular show and says, “I’m excited to be part of The Weekly show. It's a great opportunity for me and shows that South African comedy is definitely on an international level.” 

Gola, whose one man show, Loyiso Gola Live, has been making waves across oceans, with his first show kicking off in New York City in April 2015.
