She will oversee and manage all marketing duties for the Mall Division, including Primall Media, MallWorx, Mall Active, the Primedia Lifestyle Group, SourceCRM and Captiv8.

The appointment follows the growing need for business integration, with the purpose of unlocking the cross-functional opportunities that the complementary businesses offer.

A core part of the new position is to spearhead knowledge leadership in the retail space, building deeper insight and understanding of consumer shopper behaviour and the retail landscape, whilst strengthening the marketing services functions across the division.

"Taryn has over 15 years of media and marketing experience, having spent the last five of those at Mindshare, working as client leadership director on KFC,” says Molefi. “She also boasts a coveted Roger Garlick award to her name and we believe that she will provide insights into not only the retail industry but also into the media agency world that will certainly be advantageous to the team.”

In addition to her media agency experience, Hood has served as senior marketing manager at Nedbank where she managed through-the-line marketing for all transactional and supplementary products within the Nedbank Retail Division.

She has worked on many notable brands throughout her career, providing her with insight into multiple industries. Some of these brands include KFC, Nedbank, Tiger Brands, Kellogg’s, British Airways ComAir, Puma and Renault.
