The advert aims to educate and challenge consumers to browse the aisles of Checkers and discover a world of products in their local store. Neil Schreuder, marketing director, comments; “As a supermarket we constantly strive to bring the best local and international products to our customers, and we try and do this at a price point that offers exceptional value. Combining Nataniël and our home grown internet Phenom Suzelle on a single shopping trip for TV was a perfect way to showcase our message in a tongue-in-cheek way.”

Suzelle, who easily racks up hundreds of thousands of YouTube video views with each new episode, says; “I have always shopped at Checkers for my basics so I usually just pop in and out. But I had no idea that they actually have such a wide selection of things. Even fancy things like special cheeses. When we were taking breaks on the shoot I took some time and wondered around a bit. They even have all the DIY stuff I ever dreamed of.”
