Wicked Pixels, South Africa's most awarded animation studio, remains focused on its passion for creating great work. The company has won 100% of its pitches this year. Recent wins include a CG/live action commercial for Kia's funky new Rio, for Singh&Sons; the complete on-air imaging and branding of the upcoming 24 hour e.News Channel for e.tv/DSTV; and a hot motion graphic spot for Hunters cider for DraftFCB. Design Indaba 11 last month used quirky speaker-title sequences, designed and animated by the Wicked team.

Ross Chowles, Executive Creative Director and co-founder of The Jupiter Drawing Room CT, recently called upon Wicked to direct, design and animate a futuristic film for its client, Hyundai. Ogilvy also re-teamed up with Wicked to create a mouth-watering sequence of fruit and colour for the TV launch of Stimorol's new 'Freshzone flavours'; while MetropolitanRepublic kept the guys up all night creating 3D magic for MTN's new hi-speed 'Data Card' ad.

Conceptual animation for the David Susman Foundation was commissioned by Ogilvy CT, under the detailed eye of Group Creative Head, Jonathan Lang. Directed by Wicked's Andrew Shaw, the film takes the viewer on an ever-changing journey through landscapes and objects, all created from a dot.

BBDO recently turned to Wicked to create a new motion graphic spot for its client, Capitec Bank. The campaign will make use of both TV and print. A creative combination of design and 3D animation will help this work stand out in the competitive retail banking environment.

Internationally, Dublin-based agency Rothco commissioned a clever, title-driven spot for the Dublin City Library. Wicked also won a pitch to create a photoreal 3D-animated commercial for leading Saudi investment group, Watan.

On the awards circuit, the animated spot Wicked produced for The Jupiter Drawing Room’s client Musica, titled 'Little Britain', which won a silver 2007 Loerie Award; won Gold at Europe's EPICA Awards held late last year. It also won a pencil at The One Show.

Loeries Gold Craft winner, MTN “Stickies”, co-directed by Wicked's Craig Wessels for Paul Warner and the team at MetropolitanRepublic; is still alive and kicking, having been a finalist at the EPICA Awards, and featuring in a behind-the-scenes look at commercials on a magazine programme titled “Go Commercial” in Germany. It featured on a similar programme on Japanese TV last year.
