Clockwork Media walked away with a total of seven awards, including the Agency of the Year Award.

“We are extremely honoured to have been acknowledged by African Excellence Awards this year,” says Tom Manners, managing director of Clockwork Media. “Our goal as an agency is not only to provide once-off services but also holistic campaigns that provide a tangible return on investments for our clients. To be recognised by the African Excellence Awards proves that aside from providing great ROI for clients, our work is able to compete with the best of the best on a global scale.”

Aside from winning Agency of the Year, Clockwork Media also won Gold for the launch of the TV series, Cape Town in the Entertainment and Culture category for their client, NBCUniversal. The Cape Town launch was also a finalist in the Event and Experiential Marketing category.

The agency’s work for the Greyhound ‘Be Where You Want to Be’ video campaign was a finalist in the Film and Video category, while the work completed for the launch of the second season of The Librarians, another project for NBCUniversal, was a finalist in three categories; Multi-Channel Communications, Corporate Responsibility, and Platform.

The African Excellence Awards was created to honour achievements in communications and HR professionals in their field.

In addition to this, the African Excellence Awards also provide a networking forum for all attendees and take a comprehensive look at communications achievements across the African region.

The African Excellence Awards are part of a worldwide implementation of awards being rolled out in Africa, Asia-Pacific, Europe, Latin America, and North America simultaneously.
