Acting head of marketing Mfundo Ntsibande says, "What better way to demonstrate our South African spirit than to bring the 2018 FIFA World Cup to all citizens, irrespective of their class, creed or colour."

"The provision of commentary in all official languages through the national broadcaster’s different radio stations is a testament to its non-elitist and, therefore, inclusive nation-building."

SABC invites its audiences in South Africa to join the world in watching the story unfold on a global stage.

To enable SABC audiences to consume the matches in the language of their choice, SABC has lined 12 radio stations to broadcast the matches live. SABC 1 is the host channel of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia.
