Mango’s accolade was announced on Thursday, 14 June at an event that aims to recognise South Africa's 'coolest' brands and celebrities.

Head of marketing at Mango Airlines Benediction Zubane says, "Mango has won this award a number of times, including in 2008 and again in 2014."

"We love the fact that this is our triple award and that the youngsters of the country are calling us the cool kids in the sky. After all, this age group is our future cabin crew, pilots and frequent flyers," Zubane adds. 

The Generation Next Awards started in 2004 and is now a leading annual youth brand preference and consumer behaviour survey. It polls 12 000 youths aged between eight and 23.

"Thank you to all those who voted for us. We love and appreciate your loyalty. We are looking forward to growing up with you as we head for our 12th birthday later in the year," concludes Zubane.
