"The creative economy has a great potential to offer employment to our youth," says Andrew Human, Loeries CEO.

Human adds, "And we have the potential as a nation to offer world-class creative services, both locally and internationally. To continue to maintain the level of skills required, it’s important that we continue to attract and educate talented young minds."

The Loeries Creative Future Scholarship was launched 10 years ago in 2008. It aims to encourage and enable creativity at a grassroots level by assisting learners from disadvantaged backgrounds to study brand communication at a tertiary institution.

The scholarship covers fees, study materials, accommodation and living expenses, as well as mentorship, internship and employment in the advertising and brand communication industry.

"Our aim is to assist talented learners who would otherwise not have the financial means to realise their dreams. This is truly a life-changing scholarship," concludes Human.
