In order to celebrate the sponsorship announcement, Bavaria has created a video celebrating Maurice Rosen, a veteran runner of the race who will be competing for his 36th Comrades finish this year.

The 87km ultramarathon is known around the world as ‘the Ultimate Human Race’. It is also the world’s oldest marathon and annually attracts more than 24 000 international runners, along with global interest.

According to Bavaria, its brand ethos aligns with what the Comrades represent; a celebration of the unity of all walks of life of South Africans come together to conquer this monumental challenge.
