Since 2010, the WIM Awards has recognised and celebrated the achievements of women in the marketing, advertising and communications fields. Every year, the awards aim to reflect industry trends and reward the innovative work.

Faisal Ahmed, WiM Award 2019 judge and digital marketing and healthcare expert, says, "The rise of health and wellness touches all our lives daily, and campaigns such as 'This Girl Can' has shown how we can change behaviours and perceptions through health and wellness marketing."

"Moreover, and more importantly, health and wellness campaigns make the world a better place. So we need to celebrate the inspiring women that are leading the charge daily in this $4.2-trillion dollar global marketplace," Ahmed adds.

"Having two categories allows us to award the leaders pushing this change along with the campaigns that are changing the world and helping us all to live a healthier lifestyle. Entries are allowed from all aspects of the industry — from pharmaceutical, veterinary and mental health to charities, wellness and the NHS. I hope this essential new category spurs all of us on to make a difference," says Ahmed.

Tetley Tea brand, owned by Tata Global Beverages, says that it is supporting the move into the health and wellness drinks market by sponsoring the Health & Wellness Public Campaign Award category.

"Tata Global Beverages has a long history and experience in the beverages market, with a heritage of innovation and development," says Sinead McAleese, United Kingdom marketing director for Tata Global Beverages.

"We focus on natural beverages — tea, coffee and water. Through our portfolio, we focus on creating great beverage moments, which are good for our consumers and our communities. We are, therefore, very proud to be sponsoring the Health & Wellness Public Campaign Award," McAleese adds.

For the third year, the awards will be open to global entries. The awards in 2018 were received by winners from South Africa, the United States of America, South America and the Middle East.

The awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday, 13 November at a private members club in central London, which has historical links to music icon David Bowie and Jimi Hendricks. The event will be hosted by Tamara Gillan, CEO of Cherry London.

The judging panel this year comprises of influential individuals, identified and chosen to reflect the global reach of this year’s awards and high standard of entries expected.
