SA Tourism has announced that it has appointed Grey Advertising as its strategy agency with Trender as the 30% subcontractor. This follows a selection process with proposals from 16 shortlisted companies.

In line with SA Tourism's commitment to the empowerment of small black-owned businesses, Grey has subcontracted 30% of its scope and billing to Trender, a consumer insights and research agency.

"Tourism is incredibly important for the South African economy. We are excited to bring our experience and expertise in strategic and creative thinking (our 'famously effective' promise) to help SA Tourism in promoting South Africa and [to] increase the number of tourists who visit our beautiful country," says Paul Jackson, CEO of Grey.

"We are also looking forward to working with Trender who, like Grey, uses strategic thinking to deliver effective brand communication strategies to clients," concludes Jackson.
