The Marketing Association of South Africa (MASA) is an independent and unbiased entity that offers a platform for the positioning and promotion of the marketing profession.

It works to develop the credibility of marketing by improving the way it is perceived and practiced. MASA is a Section 21 company that works as an ‘anchor’ in the industry, upholding credibility, a set of standards, and an ethical code that serve to shape the marketing environment in the best interests of marketers. The Board of nominated directors works with advisory councils of high-profile corporate and individual marketers, academics, experts, and thought-leaders.

MASA offers its members a solid network within the industry, the opportunity to participate in self governing structures and influence national policy, legislation and strategy on marketing and business issues. Members are promised enhanced credibility, subscription to a code of professional conduct, access to the official journal of marketing, discounted rates to industry-related events, and participation in recognition programmes and awards.

MASA also provides their members with guidance and support on issues of strategic and professional interest, as well as ensuring that the profession maintains world class education and training standards.
