According to the campaign, the dairy industry in South Africa — and the millions of lives that rely on it — are under threat. 

This is due to cheap and inferior imported powdered and UHT milk products being sold in the local market.

The campaign adds that the South African dairy industry contributes significantly to job creation in the country, as well as the overall South African economy.

The 'Love Local Dairy' campaign was launched in September. It aims to put the power of informed purchase decisions into the hands of consumers and encourage them to purchase only locally-produced dairy foods.
