Todwil, a South African based company that specialises in retail-marketing solutions, continues to expand its extensive list of product offerings through the recent decision to incorporate Xanita’s X-Board. An eco-friendly board used as an alternative material for point-of-sale displays brought on by the increase in demand for temporary display units, it is manufactured in South Africa from recycled materials.

“The decision to offer X-Board to our clients is based upon an increasing trend towards temporary point-of-purchase displays. We believe that X-Board will offer our clients the best solution as it is cost-effective, thick and sturdy, but light in weight which allows for easy transportation and installation,” comments Wayne Elsom, CEO of Todwil Retail Solutions.

A revolutionary board in its own right, Xanita’s X-Board is manufactured from a non-ozone depleting process that combines post-consumer paper waste with VOC-free adhesives. These rigid fibre boards weigh as little as one-seventh of the weight of formaldehyde-based MDF and particle board. Benefits include reduced transport and labour costs due to the lightness of the board; durability; versatility; and eco-friendliness. Xanita’s boards are ideal for temporary and semi-permanent indoor applications, and carry a minimum life expectancy of three years when used in approved conditions. Once the campaign is over, the boards can be re-pulped back into paper.

Elsom continues to say that retailers are reassessing their carbon footprint across their store network and that the recycling of temporary point-of-sale display can reduce this significantly. “We are proud to affiliate ourselves with a company and product that will assist our clients who are [environmentally conscious] to continue using point of purchase displays with peace of mind.”

“Todwil feels that this new service offering will add value to our client’s needs and could strengthen our position in the retail and point-of-purchase items market in South Africa,” concludes Elsom.
