When one thinks of Klipdrift, all things South African spring to mind; braais; rugby; music; and of course, the popular phrase: “met eish, ja!”. Campus Media’s latest activation for Klipdrift & Cola once again presented the pre-mixed brand to students across the country, in an innovative campaign that captured the spirit of South Africans’ favourite mixer.
Synonymous with Klipdrift & Cola are good friends and “lekker” music; both of which were incorporated into this captivating campaign. Students from three national universities participated in on-site quiz shows, whereby their respective teams answered questions in various trivia categories; closing things off with a karaoke competition. Campus Media’s selection of MC’s included well-known South African personalities such as Lebo from Skwatta Kamp, and
Jam Alley’s T Do; who managed to get the crowd vibed and in the “Klippies” spirit. Tie-breaking dance-offs added to the fun and excitement of the activation.

The astounding success of this campaign can be attributed to the positive brand association that was crafted by student marketing experts, Campus Media by creating a platform for students to engage with the South African essence of the brand through the campaign activities and prizes (a weber braai). Klipdrift & Cola will continue to accompany good times by mixing it the South African way.
