“These cars will be available for rent on a walk up basis to clients at OR Tambo; Cape Town; and Durban International Airports, subject to availability and cannot be pre-reserved,” says Tempest’s Sales and Marketing Director, Janita Edwards. “When clients get a branded car, the lucky recipients rental will be only R99 per day instead of the rate booked over June and July.”

An exciting element to this campaign is that Tempest has partnered with Kia and is running a competition that will give South Africans the chance to win a brand new Kia Picanto valued at R100 000.

Competition entrants need to spot the branded soccer ball vehicles, and SMS their full name and car registration to SMS short code, 40647. The prize winner of the new Kia Picanto will be drawn on 9 July.

Edwards says that the aim of the campaign is to create a vibe among all soccer supporters and non-soccer fans who hire these cars and help add to the already festive soccer spirit.

“We are very excited and appreciative to Kia for partnering with us for this campaign, as we join in creating excitement around the euphoric build up to this global event being hosted on our door step,” she added.

Alongside the branded giant ‘soccer balls’ and competition, a radio campaign will be running on major stations to promote the competition, giving South Africans every opportunity not to miss out on the football fever.

In addition, Tempest is running its ‘Go Boys’ special logo on its advertising support campaign and in its branches where posters and foosball tables have been set up to add to the supportive spirit of the event.
