Alphabet Soup launched the SAICA Now i CAn website
Marketing 120
Alphabet Soup recently launched a student site for the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA), www.nowican.co.za. The site was launched to create an online student community that would function as a support network across universities for prospective Chartered Accountants of South Africa (CAs [SA]) students.
Other features on the website include comprehensive information on everything from what it means to be a CA(SA) or how to become one; leaders in the industry; and upcoming events; and a range of funky features.
Alphabet Soup implemented campus activations at universities across the country as well as advertising on campus radio and relevant online student sites. The campus activation received a great reception from the students, who were all keen to find out more about the website and getting registered. Students loved the branded T shirts, which allowed for continued brand presence after the campaign, with MP3 players being used as spot prizes. The target of 2 300 students to register was surpassed convincingly with the final number of students registered totalling 3 285.
