Branded by vehicle branding and transit media experts, Graffiti, the cabs have been branded to generate awareness and interest around two of Montecasino’s most recent campaigns: the MTN Festival and the Revved Up Casino promotion.

The eight MTN Festival cabs each carry the bold yellow and blue Festival branding along with the tag line 'It’s Your Festival. Go Big!' All the vehicles travel along different routes around Johannesburg to alert people to the festival and to drive them to the Montecasino website where they can find out more about the various festival activities.

The festival encompasses all things big, bold, bright and breathtaking and we believe our cabs do a great job of conveying that messaging.”

“This year’s festival has include likes of the great local comedian, Trevor Noah, the annual Pick n Pay Taste of Joburg, Absa Boktown, international superstars Patrizio and Katherine Jenkins, the Broadway smash-hit Musical Sunset Boulevard and the Tops at Spar Bierfest, just to name a few,” says Hawkins.

Montecasino’s Revved Up gaming promotion offers participants the opportunity to win over R8-million in cash and 12 Audi vehicles. The Revved Up cabs were branded in keeping with the theme of a revving vehicle and each portrays a rapid vehicle takeoff with bright yellow flashes of light depicting the superfast revving. These vehicles specifically advertised the promotion in the Pretoria areas of Menlyn, Centurion and Hatfield.

Explains Hawkins, “Locally we have a great deal of advertising collateral from billboards and Supalites to double and single-decker branded Metro Buses and branded cabs. However, since a fair percentage of our customers come form Pretoria, we felt that it was important that our advertising reach them as well. The cabs did a fantastic job of standing out amongst the clutter and generating awareness in these areas.”
