“But Adventure Boot Camp makes every workout exciting. It is such a positive environment and I always feel uplifted after a session,” says Van Pletzen.
Adventure Boot Camp says: “We are thrilled to have Zetske represent Adventure Boot Camp at the Emmerentia camp and hope that her participation in the programme will inspire other women to take time out of their busy schedules to dedicate it to their own health and wellness.”
“In my line of work, I must be prepared for any scenario and so I want to be fit and toned at all times. I can already feel how my lifestyle has improved by the amount of energy I have during my day and my metabolism is so much faster. I feel fit and healthy,” continues Van Pletzen.
Adventure Boot Camp is a fun and invigorating outdoor exercise programme for women. No day is the same and ladies get a full body workout in a beautiful environment, enabling them to achieve their fitness and weight loss goals that much easier.
Camp takes place for an hour a day, in the morning or early evening, with the option of attending 12 or 20 sessions (3 or 5 days a week) over four weeks. Don’t expect one's usual gym workout as exercises include short distance running, skipping, abs and core training, Pilates, circuit training, team work, free weights, mat work, games and hiking. There are camps on almost every doorstep nationwide and each camp is run by highly qualified and passionate fitness trainers, year round.

Owner and founder of Adventure Boot Camp, Huenu Solsona says: “Women often give up on their exercise routine because of a lack of support and motivation but at Adventure Boot Camp you will get all the support you need. Just arrive at camp with your weights, water bottle, towel and mat - leave the rest to us. When I started ABC in 2005, I had no idea how popular the concept would become. Once you join, you enter into a family of like-minded women who all share similar stories and have a common goal – to be fit, lose weight and tone up. And together they are doing just that.”
With the support of a trainer, a dietician, personal eating plans as well as a network of like-minded women at camp and through
Facebook, the advantages are obvious. Campers also get access to a host of special offers and are able to claim points through the top medical schemes’ wellness programmes. During the months of June and July, ladies can take advantage of their Winter Special and receive two 20 session camps for the discounted price of R890.
