She launched her career in hospitality at the Royal Hotel in Bayswater, London, as a receptionist in 1996. Following a year of travel, she gained invaluable international experience while working at The Bear Inn in Surrey, where she was subsequently promoted to the position of assistant general manager. She worked there until 2003.

Kassis’ next position saw her employed as the general manager of The Sands @ St. Francis hotel in St. Francis Bay, where she played an integral role in the day-to-day business operations. She then joined the Protea Hotel Victoria Island in Lagos, Nigeria, as the general manager until January 2014 during which she was voted as one of the 30 most influential woman in West Africa.

Lukas van der Westhuizen, director of Faircity Hotels, comments on Kassis’ appointment: “Her reputation for exceeding customer expectations and her depth of experience on an international stage is exactly what we were looking for to add value to our guests.”

“Faircity Roodevallei is a mid-market conference, events and leisure hotel situated on the banks of the Pienaars River in Pretoria. Faircity Roodevallei has a long heritage of over 20 years of great service, value for money accommodation and many good memories and we believe our new general manager will continue building its legacy,” adds Van der Westhuizen.
