Keen to promote and celebrate talent at every turn, head writer Rohan Dickson will take over the reigns as executive producer from Pumla Hopa who will be moving to the production company’s Randburg head office. There she’ll work on a number of projects within the Scripted Entertainment division, headed up by Sam Shale. Leo Phiri has also been promoted into the role of producer on the cherished series.

As the show’s head writer for the past two years, Dickson is the perfect person, intimately immersed, qualified and passionate, to lead Isidingo to even greater heights than it has enjoyed since he first joined the show. “The combined strengths of Dickson and Phiri will lead Isidingo into a new era,” Edemol Shine CEO, Sivan Pillay, says in support. “It’s an exciting time for cast and crew alike.”

Dickson was tasked with rebuilding the writing team two years ago, a role he completely embraced, committed to and delivered on. “I assembled a diverse collective of creative people,” he recalls; “Some of whom are award winning writers with decades of experience.” Collectively the team scripted Isidingo to even greater heights and popularity.

“Our talented team at Isidingo is passionately committed to this new adventure, and strive to tell exciting stories that speak to our amazing audience,” he concludes proudly; “Horizon Deep has many twists and turns, shocks and scandals in the pipeline, so stay glued to your screens.”
