The song, Untradable, produced by Grammy award-winner, Kuk Harrell, is an up-tempo, dance track. With Untradable, Harrell, who has worked with Rihanna, Justin Bieber, and Beyoncé, has created another hit that will launch Desmond John onto the international music scene.

In 2015, the teenager released his debut track, All for Us, in South Africa, which sparked the development of a loyal fan base that has been following his journey over the last year.

Drawing his inspiration from artists such as Michael Jackson, Bruno Mars, Babyface, Justin Timberlake and Drake among others, Desmond John has developed his own unique sound – part pop, part R&B.

As a global millennial whose worldview embraces all cultures and creeds, his music has appeal that goes beyond age groups or geographic boundaries. At just 17 years of age, his first international single, Untradable, combines his love for pop music.

Commenting on the choice of song as his first international release, John says, “From the minute I heard the song in Kuk’s studio, I knew it was the one I wanted to do. We both felt we were on to something good with Untradable – it’s just a really great song. I’m excited about the dual release in SA and the UK, but want to especially thank my home crowd in South Africa for their support so far. Please continue to join me on the ride.”
