“We are extremely excited to be associated with an iconic brand like Red Heart. We have always aligned ourselves with brands that share the same brand individuality. Red Heart, like the 10s brand, is known to be bold and adventurous and we are really thrilled to be working with them to enhance the 10s consumer experience,” says Zando Cape Town 10s co-founder, Bob Skinstad.

As part of the sponsorship, Red Heart will initiate and host a number of event activations including a commentator’s booth and the Red Heart '#livewithheart' card concept, which will encourage sporting camaraderie throughout the festival. There will also be a self-service Rum on tap bar.

“The Zando Cape Town 10s is an exciting partnership for Red Heart and is an awesome way to build up to the brand’s 'Do All Things With Heart' campaign featuring Jean Marc Johannes, Falko, Fixin Diaries, Breyton Paulse, and Kwesta,” says Melanie Campbell, head of marketing: white spirits and rum at Pernod Ricard South Africa.

The Zando Cape Town 10s recently won the 2016 Discovery Sport Industry Award for Best Live Experience in South Africa. The tournament started off with rugby as the sole sporting code and has since evolved into a multi-sport event with the addition of Netball in 2013, Beach Volleyball in 2016, and Dodgeball in 2017.
