Further expanding PrideTV's emerging position within the LGBT community, is the hosting of competitions which will feature items that include a Mercedes-Benz G-Class vehicle.

"Our current focus following PrideTV's 2016 launch is about responding to the LGBT community's multi-layered needs that go above and beyond simple streaming video premium content," says Joanne Raphael Katz, spokesperson for PrideTV. “Our free video content is important in the storytelling of the community and its needs.”

PrideTV costs R79 a month (or R790 for 12 months, with two months free) and viewers subscribe by visiting the PrideTV website. Payment is by credit card in local currency. Alternatively, viewers can use mobile billing to pay for access. No specialised hardware beyond the viewer's usual Internet access device is required to access PrideTV.

PrideTV provides the LGBT community a growing library of LGBT movies and series, currently numbering over 200 titles. The service can be viewed on smart televisions, desktop computers, laptops, tablets, or mobile phones by using either iOS or Android operating systems.

Registering on PrideTV to receive a free two-day trial will also enable PrideTV community members to receive future invitations to hosted events.
