The SAMA's announced GoodLuck as the winner of the Best Pop Album in South Africa, a category which put them up against some of the biggest names in the country.
This is the band’s first SAMA win for their third self-produced and mixed studio album The Nature Within – a record that was written and produced by the band as they toured through 16 different countries in 2016.
GoodLuck were not able to collect their award, as they were performing at the Bush Fire Festival in Swaziland but they had this to say, "This award is entirely for you and your love and support. Thank you."
After the news broke of their international record deal with Ultra Music Records in the United States and Sony B1 Recordings in Germany, the band will be touring South Africa.
Goodluck toured the United States, as well as Mauritius for a series of shows and now they’re back in South Africa on the lineups of the country’s top festivals and events.
Fans can catch Goodluck next at the Townhall Takeover in Stellenbosch on Monday, 5 of June and at the Goodluck Bar in Johanesburg on Thursday, 15 June.
