Thandolwethu Tsekiso will be taking over East Coast Urban on weekdays from 18:00 to 21:00 from Bongani Mtolo, who was recently announced as the new Drive Time co-host with Margaret van der Westhuizen.

Ricky May moves to East Coast Love Songs on weekdays from 21:00 to midnight, while Durban-born Sbu Magigaba will inform and entertain listeners weekdays between 04:00 to 06:00.

East Coast Radio programming manager, Zane Derbyshire, says, "I am very pleased with the way in which the changes will enhance the entertainment offering from the station."

Derbyshire adds, "Gordon Graham, a former Algoa FM Drive Show presenter is taking over Weekend Breakfast, and rising stars Lubz and Erin will host our weekend 14:00 to 18:00 show. Danny Guselli graduates from weekend overnights to 21:00 to midnight on the weekend, and Deon Govender adds an extra show a week to his bill and will now also host our South African music show, #PlayLocal."

Another change is the introduction of extended traffic reports during the week, starting Monday, 31 July. Sindi Myeza will present East Coast Radio Traffic every 15 minutes between 05:30 and 09:00.

Jayshree Parasuramen will keep drivers up to date every hour between 09:30 and 15:00, while Johann Von Bargen will bring listeners updates every 15 minutes between 16:00 and 18:00. Apart from on air, traffic updates will also happen live on Twitter and, if listeners miss the live report on air, it’ll be available on the East Coast Radio app, which can be viewed by tapping on the traffic light image in the top left-hand corner of the screen.
