"Homes are not only extensions of our minds, but also the habitats of our souls. The way we style them speaks to the way we view the world, ourselves, and each other," says Ndalo Media's founding CEO, and now publisher of the ELLE DECORATION brand, Khanyi Dhlomo.

The magazine launches with new changes, along with the #FreshPerspectivesIssue, available now, with a special focus on 'the one room that should draw fresh, new energy from – the bedroom'.

The official ELLE DECORATION South Africa editorial team responsible for the #FreshPerspectivesIssue is comprised of:

  • Emilie Gambade – Editor-in-chief;
  • Nicole Newman – Managing editor;
  • Alice Inggs - Copy editor;
  • Ntombenhle Shezi – Assistant editor;
  • Marushka Stipinovich – Creative director;
  • Sanri Pienaar – Décor stylist; and
  • Palesa Kgasane – Social media manager.

Dhlomo says, "We are thrilled to launch the first issue of ELLE DECORATION magazine as a monthly Ndalo Media publication. It is an issue that showcases the best in the décor world and the dynamic movement reflected by designers all over the world – and increasingly on our own continent."

"To be in the position that enables us as an organisation to amplify our ability to positively impact lives through compelling lifestyle content is an objective we are honoured to achieve through this publication. We are even more excited to offer our readers this beautiful, and useful, content more frequently and affordably," adds Dhlomo.

Gambade, who stayed on as editor-in-chief when Ndalo Media took over the publication of ELLE DECORATION magazine, says, "To me, good design, décor, and art is about allowing us to open other worlds, gain new perspectives and, of course, start a conversation. Enhancing the ELLE DECORATION perspective together with the greater Ndalo Media team is set to be a great experience."
