"Liberty Corporate has a strong focus on the SME sector because we recognise the important role that SME’s play in the development of the South African economy. We support the SME sector through promoting enterprise and supplier development programmes, which enable SME’s to continue to grow and contribute to the country," says Thesin Vandeyar, divisional director of sales and relationship management at Liberty Corporate.

The Business Day Dialogues event provides an opportunity for participants to engage directly with industry professionals in an intimate and focused breakfast event.

"The SME theme has been considered in close cooperation with the Business Day editorial team to ensure we attract high profile, expert participation," adds Taryn Westoby, head of Tiso Blackstar Events.

The Business Day Dialogues even incorporate a keynote address, followed by a panel discussion. Steven Cohen, former head of Sage One International will set the scene with a keynote address.

Panellists will include Tim Cohen (editor, Business Day), Thesin Vandeyar (Liberty Corporate), Lebo Gunguluza (entrepreneur, turnaround strategist, founder and executive chairman, Gem Group), and Phuti Mahanyele (former CEO of Shanduka Group and executive chairperson, Sigma Capital).

Alisha Sekham, senior anchor at Business Day TV, will moderate the discussions that look at how entrepreneurs and owners of small and medium-sized enterprises can network to build useful professional relationships, attract and retain top talent, and become valuable leaders – not only in their businesses but also in the communities in which they operate.

The event will be hosted at The Empire conference venue at Tiso Blackstar Group’s new offices in Parktown, Johannesburg in Gauteng.
