Friday, 1 September begins with Bruno, a Capetonian medium who aims to help clients find answers to the issues bothering them. Bruno will be airing on Fridays at 21:00 with repeats on Saturdays at 13:30.

From Monday, 4 September to Friday, 22 September, high schools will be competing in a brand-new game with the aim of being crowned as Die Superskool and taking home a quarter of a million Rand.

The challenges will test a range of skills including concentration, mathematics, language, and general knowledge. The presenter Snotkop brings a 'playful' element to this new TV format. Die Superskool will be screening on weekdays at 17:00, with repeats at 22:30 and a repeat omnibus on Saturdays from 14:30 to 17:00.

In Dokter-dokter, Dr Owen Wiese invites viewers behind the doors of an Intercare hospital. Three real-life patients’ common and unusual illnesses are put under the microscope in every episode. The show starts on Monday, 4 September and will be shown every Monday at 17:00, with repeats on Sundays at 22:30.

In a new show, Nisboere, which also starts on Monday, 4 September, the presenters Anrich Herbst, Chris de Clerq, and Dr Simonia Magardie introduce viewers to agricultural
entrepreneurs who farm on a small scale. Nisboere is presented by Laeveld Agrochem and will be shown on Mondays at 20:00, with repeats on Sundays at 18:00.

After 11 years, the Afrikaans singer Lianie May and her fiancé, Barry Lubbe, have decided to get married on the new reality show Met my hele hart. The show follows them all the way to the altar. Between all the wedding arrangements, cameras also follow May's life as a singer and Lubbe's experiences as her manager. Met my hele hart starts on Tuesday, 12 September and will be shown every Tuesday at 20:00, with repeats on Saturdays at 19:00.

Spoegwolf soek nuwe bloed features Stellenbosch rock group Spoegwolf. In every episode, the group invites up-and-coming musicians to help them reinterpret Spoegwolf’s most popular songs. The show starts Friday, 15 September and will be shown every Friday at 20:00, with repeats Saturdays at 22:30.

From Tuesday, 19 September viewers will be able to see another side of the singer Jay as a father of four boys. Jay en die boys features Jay and his family, as his wife, Mia, challenges him and his sons to different DIY challenges in and around the house. Jay en die boys will be shown every Tuesday at 21:00, with repeats on Saturdays at 16:30.

The new braai show Speel met vuur features pilates instructor Mynie Steffens and TV producer Adi van der Walt who will travel to unusual places to braai strange foods such as porcupine and guinea fowl. The show starts on Monday, 25 September and will be shown every Monday at 18:00, with repeats on Saturdays at 17:00.

VIA viewers can also watch three special documentaries in September. On Wednesday, 13 September at 19:30, Antoinette Pienaar and Johannes Willemse return to televison with Kruidjie roer my: die dokkie, which offers a look into the world of the two herbal healers from Theefontein.

VIA also pays tribute to the late Princess Diana with special documentaries about the princess in Diana: In haar eie woorde and Diana: In her own words with Afrikaans subtitles.

Diana: In haar eie woorde airs on Wednesday, 20 September at 19:30. In Diana: Suid-Afrika onthou, which airs Wednesday, 27 September at 19:30, South Africans share stories about, and insights into, the impact of Princess Diana’s life on South Africa.
