The objective of the day is to showcase the best in African culture through the arts, music, and fashion and celebrate the cultures that South Africa is home to.

On-air, Radio 2000 will cover Emlanjeni, hosted by KG Moeketsi (9:00 to 12:00), and Lunch on 2000 (12:00 to 15:00) with Bertha Charuma. During the shows, listeners can learn about not only South African culture but also more about African heritage.

Every Thursday, Emlanjeni’s theme for the show is called Extraordinary Thursdays. This is an opportunity to listen to South Africans that are doing extraordinary things. The lunchtime show adds to the content in a feature called Africa Thursdays.

Charuma discusses and highlights all positive stories from across the African continent. The shows aim to celebrate the diverse cultural heritage that makes South Africa.

Puleng Thulo, station manager at Radio 2000, says, "South Africa is one of the most diverse countries in the world. Radio 2000 is excited to celebrate our nation’s diversity and, through the power of radio, we can unite all Africans to celebrate their heritage and educate and inform listeners about the cultures of our rainbow nation."

Radio 2000 says it would like to thank its sponsor, JM Busha Investment Group (Pty) Ltd, for its continued support in the African-themed events and for promoting peace and unity on the African continent.
