VI Junior aims to introduce children between the ages of eight to 14 to the world of knowledge through content that focuses on technology, science, space, the environment, history, and more, and also aims to present it in a way that appeals to children and 'tweens'.

The magazine is a read that allows parents to provide their children with content that they can use to expand their knowledge base and their interest in the world around them. The reader profile includes households in the eight to 10 SEM bracket and is split equally, with 50% being male and 50% being female.

The content contained in the magazine includes:

  • A host of knowledge subjects. This includes science and technology, history, natural sciences, inventions, health, and the environment;
  • Gives perspective on how things work;
  • Provides bite-sized facts; and
  • Questions from readers, which are answered in a researched manner.

VI Junior is set to launch in December and will be an alternate monthly magazine, priced at R35 per copy.
