The event returns to the Meerendal Wine Estate in Durbanville, providing a backdrop for the 13-hour music festival featuring some of South Africa’s musical acts.

Huawei and Kfm 94.5 travelled through the city on a tour bus offering individuals the opportunity to win tickets, engage with presenters, and meet artists featured on the #HuaweiKDay line-up.

The #HuaweiKDay tour bus visited locales in the following areas of the city:

  • Kfm 94.5 studios – Somerset Road at 08:30;
  • Century City at 09:30 to 10:30;
  • Bloubergstrand at 10:30 to 11:30;
  • N1 City Mall at 11:30 to 12:30;
  • Liberty Promenade at 12:30 to 13:30;
  • Vangate Mall at 13:30 to 14:30;
  • Rondebosch Common at 15:30 to 16:30;
  • Newlands Swimming Pool at 14:50 to 15:20;
  • Sea Point Pavilion at 15:50 to 16:30; and
  • V&A Waterfront – Amphitheatre at 17:00.

"The eight hour larger than life journey through the city was the perfect precursor to #HuaweiKDay on Saturday, 3 March 2018. The festivities didn’t end there. We hosted a surprise performance by three of the musical acts on our line-up; crooner Matthew Mole, rapper YoungstaCPT, and a special performance and welcome back home salute to Cape Town-born Idols winner, Paxton Fielies," says Kfm 94.5 programming manager, Stephen Werner.

"We, at Huawei, are extremely excited to be partnering with Kfm 94.5 yet again for another epic Huawei KDay. The previous Huawei KDay was successful in ensuring that consumers experienced the collaboration of two brands by sharing the passion for local music," adds Claire Wujun, marketing director at Huawei Consumer Business Group South Africa.
