Patel joins Media24 from Old Mutual where he has served in several senior positions over the past 17 years, most recently as CFO of Old Mutual Wealth & Investments.
Prior to this, he was CFO at Old Mutual Investment Group for eight years and also held positions at Old Mutual Corporate Finance.

Patel holds a BCom degree from the University of the Witwatersrand as well as a higher diploma in auditing and a BCom honours degree from the University of Johannesburg.
He completed his articles at Tuffias Sandberg before joining Old Mutual Corporate Finance, eventually assuming the role of senior corporate finance manager. According to Media24, he qualified as a chartered accountant in 2001 and was among the top 10 students who qualified that year.
