VIA announces the addition of three new shows for August

Huisgenoot: Ware lewensdramas returns on Thursday, 16 August. The new season will feature stories like Pippie Kruger, Zephany Nurse and Henri van Breda as told through the eyes of journalists and professionals. Huisgenoot: Ware lewensdramas will be airing on Thursdays at 20:00, with repeats on Sundays at 21:00

On Wednesday, 1 August Frank Opperman and Pierre van Pletzen take to the stage. Harrebaard decides the band needs to go on tour in the second season of Die ooms se band. Die ooms se band will be airing on Wednesdays at 21:00, with repeats on Saturdays at 21:00.

The third season of Nisboere starts on Monday, 13 August. The presenters, Chris de Clerq, Anrich Herbst and Simonia Magardie, hit the road to meet agricultural entrepreneurs. Nisboere will be airing on Mondays at 20:00, with repeats on Sundays at 19:30. Nisboere is sponsored by Laeveld Agrochem.

DuPreez Strauss is back on Thursday, 9 August with the second season of My vreemde vriende. DuPreez is on a mission to meet 13 of his 5 000 Facebook friends and, in each episode, viewers will meet one of these individuals. My vreemde vriende will be airing on Thursdays at 21:00, with repeats on Saturdays at 22:30.

My sakpas-troue is back on Wednesday, 1 August for its sixth season. The wedding show shows great lengths couples are willing to go in order to save every cent for their wedding day. My sakpas-troue will be airing on Wednesdays at 17:00, with repeats on Saturdays at 16:30.

The documentary Ek wou nog sê, which aired exclusively on VIA in 2017, returns on Tuesday, 28 August. In the talk show, Coenie de Villiers and poet Daniel Hugo aim to explore the power of poetry and the written word. Ek wou nog sê will be airing on Tuesdays at 18:30 and is sponsored by AVBOB.

Stik-stik so, which starts on Thursday, 30 August, is a sewing-bee challenge in which 27 seamstresses and tailors will compete for prizes. Stik-stik so will be airing on Thursdays at 17:00.

Die wasgoedlyn, which starts Friday, 31 August, is a docu-reality series that explores Afrikaans music. Viewers will get to know artists such as Laurinda Hofmeyr, Piet Botha and Churchil Naudé. Die wasgoedlyn will be airing on Fridays at 21:00.
