The festival will play host to several artists, including Beyoncé & JAY-Z, Black Coffee, Cassper Nyovest, D’banj, Ed Sheeran, Eddie Vedder, Femi Kuti, Kacey Musgraves, Pharrell Williams & Chris Martin, Sho Madjozi, Tiwa Savage, Usher and Wizkid, alongside world leaders, to unite in an aim to end poverty by 2030.

Trevor Noah will host the Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 with co-hosts Naomi Campbell, Dave Chappelle, Danai Gurira, Sir Bob Geldof, Gayle King, Bonang Matheba, Nomzamo Mbatha, Tyler Perry and Andele Mdoda.

Oprah Winfrey will deliver a special keynote address at the festival in remembrance of Nelson Mandela.

In addition to live streaming the one-day event on Global Citizen's YouTube channel, creators on YouTube from the United States and South Africa are creating content leading into the event and live stream. Creators include:
