The station says that earlier in August, Scott requested to be released from his commitments to
OFM, contractually due to end in March 2020.
Scott is the current host of the
Just Plain Drive programme on
OFM, which is broadcast weekdays from 16:00 to 19:00 across the Free State, Northern Cape and North West. Scott is also the host of a programme on
Mix FM in Johannesburg, and the host of the weekend breakfast show on
Bok Radio in Cape Town.
"With such a heavy radio presentation schedule, understandably Scott would need to relook his commitments," says Nick Efstathiou, CEO of
OFM's holding company, the Central Media Group.

OFM has accepted and respect his request and decision. The station wishes him well and thanks to him for the two and a half years he spent entertaining the people of South Africa," concludes Efstathiou.
The
Afternoon Drive programme on
OFM will be hosted by WR van der Merwe and Natasja Jacobs until the end of October.
