"We kept an eye on the guesses, on the Smile 90.4FM website and noticed that juggling paper got a warm response. We knew it had to be something completely random so we decided to guess juggling lettuce … and we won," says Milne.

"The feeling of absolute elation when we realised we had won R30 000 was incredible! We couldn't believe we had cracked the sound! The money is so welcomed during this time of COVID-19," adds Milne.

"The 'ref' has been keeping himself busy by coming up with random sounds. He's had a lot of time to think about these sounds and create them; the next sound will show us exactly what he's been up to in lockdown," concludes programme manager Naveen Singh.

When asked what he will be doing with his R30 000, Milne indicated that he will be using it to pay school fees, as well as for everyday life expenses.

Individuals can catch the new Smile Secret Sound every weekday on Smile Breakfast at 07:20 and 08:h20. Listeners can also tune in on the station's website to track the guesses.
