The station says that it spoke to Karen Heron from Earth Probiotic about its Earth Bokashi kit. According to Heron, everyday South Africans send tons and tons of food waste to landfill sites where it rots, pollutes and attracts flies and vermin.

The Earth Bokashi kit aims to transform food waste, such as cooked and uncooked meat, vegetables, seafood, dairy and small bones, into nutrients that can be incorporated back into the soil.

The station says that it will talk with Lore Botha from HempLove, a South African, female-owned hemp clothing and lifestyle brand, in order to encourage people to support and shop sustainable local fashion.

The brand sells garments made from hemp textiles and naturally dyed using plant waste sourced from farmers and restaurants over South Africa.

Damian Schmidt will chat to Vegan Things, an online store where customers can shop for their favourite plant-based foodie things in one place and have them delivered.

Additionally, Darren Scott will speak to GreenTower Solutions, which sustainably harvests nature's power to improve energy, water, food and health security. The brand's software enhances performance by integrating solar collectors, heat pumps, inverters, meters (electricity and water) and environmental sensors.

The station will also feature PETCO, a company incorporated in 2004 to represent the South African PET plastic industry's joint effort to self-regulate post-consumer polyethylene terephthalate (PET) recycling.

REVOV will also air on the station. The brand will talk about the impact electric vehicles will have on the world and the hope there is for consumers and businesses to play in saving the planet, while saving money to keep the lights on.

Mix 93.8 FM concludes, that, besides 'going green', the station is also planning festive activities for December, as well as an announcement for 2021.
