Da Kruk hosted a weekly dance show called #ThePlayersClub and alternative music show #TheSindaySocial, which both garnered significant followings.

He also created the first commercial outlet for the Amapiano genre called The Amapiano Hour, which introduced South Africans to the genre.

"I think I have contributed all I set out to do when I joined the station in 2011 and, after careful consideration, I've decided to close this chapter of my life and take on new opportunities," says Da Kruk.

Da Kruk says that his stay at YFM came with many accolades, such as:
  • winning Content Producer of the Year for four years in a row
  • gaining a Liberty Radio Award nomination in 2018
  • gaining a South African Dance Music Award nomination in 2018
  • heading the Y-Academy internship programme
  • representing the station globally as a mix DJ, and
  • being a host on Beat London 103.6FM and Drums Radio.
Da Kruk concludes by acknowledging the station for the opportunities that it afforded him during his time there and promised to always be a 'Yire' at heart.
