Bankover will join the company's senior management team where he will work closely with Gottlieb, joint co-founder and CEO Jacqueline Hewer, alongside Rob Dersley who has recently been promoted from head of operations to head of editorial.
Bankover joins the business from ITN Productions, where as the production executive, he oversaw the production on shows including:
- Lost Boy: The Killing of James Bulger
- World's Most Expensive Cruise, and
- six-part documentary series Churchill for Channel 5.
Prior to ITN Productions, Bankover was production manager at Optomen Television where his credits include
Great British Menu for BBC Two.
Brown Bob has become a specialist in rig shows, which has seen the company build their own custom camera rigs to produce returning series including:
- Inside the Ambulance for the UKTV-owned W channel
- three series of The Architecture the Railways' Built
- Secrets of the Underground for UKTV's Yesterday, and
- Moment of Proof for BBC One Daytime.
"Brown Bob has shown over the years what amazing and creative programme-makers they are. I'm very excited to be joining. I feel incredibly privileged to work with Gottlieb, Hewer, Dersley and the rest of the team and to become a part of the family," says Bankover.
"After nearly nine years, I am finally ready to hand over the reins of overseeing production on a daily basis to Bankover. He is extremely experienced, fantastic at his job and the missing piece to our production puzzle," concludes Gottlieb.
