Stories with a purpose have poured out of Joffe for many years, the podcast says.

She has created them for sheer kiddie pleasure, as well as edutainment campaigns for blue chip brands who want to connect emotionally with their audience.

These brands include:

  • Eskom
  • Tiger Brands
  • 2010 Fifa World Cup South Africa
  • Anglo American, and
  • The City of Johannesburg.

According to the podcast, she is a seasoned storyteller and has presented at a plethora of literacy and literature festivals, universities, conferences and workshops locally and globally. Joffe started her agency Creatrix in 2006 and has conceptualised, written and produced thousands of hours of radio dramas and sitcoms in all South African languages.

She has also written a work of literary fiction, The Gospel According to Wanda B. Lazarus, for which she is voicing an audiobook, the podcast says. Her work has proven that associating brands with resonant, engaging edutainment content through storytelling and the heard word creates a connection with relevant target markets. Embedding emotional values into brand storytelling has proven effective for all the campaigns she's spearheaded.

Joffe says that moving into the children's space with audio content is a dream come true. She has a passionate belief that the heard word is the precursor to literacy and a love of literature. Her delightful children’s series is doing just that.

Joffe and the team are also calling for other authors who have written children's books and would welcome the opportunity to be featured on Solid Gold Story Time. They are bringing even more diversity and joy to the mix, the podcast concludes.
